Janelle Manzano is the Farm to School Program Specialist at San Diego Unified’s Food & Nutrition Services, the second-largest school district in California. Over the past six years, she has dedicated herself to promoting nutrition, health, food, and sustainability through educational initiatives and strategic promotion. With a Master’s in Public Health from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition from UC Davis, Janelle brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.
Prior to her role with SD Unified, she taught nutrition, garden, and culinary education in Oakland, CA, as part of her service year with FoodCorps AmeriCorps. Her dedication to fostering healthy eating habits to young students, drove her interest in school nutrition and Farm to School Programming.
