Chapter Spring Harvests
After leaving a visit with our UCLA chapter, it was so inspiring to check instagram overflowing with our chapters activated during Earth Week with over 40 events. The week closed out with over 150 students at our Colorado Collge chapter’s Farm Party, which featured local bands and a fully plant-based menu. Events like this and the over 600 others over the course of the 2025-2026 school year, was the direct result of the class of 2026 growing a new culture for the Plant Futures community. A culture based in making sustainability and food systems fun, social, and rooted in a joyful spirit.
As the school year winds down, we wanted to take a moment to appreciate our amazing graduating leaders. Being able to serve these amazing leaders is the greatest gift of my career. It’s extremely bittersweet, but I could not be more proud of this inspiring group of leaders who will continue to improve our food system for all.
I hope you enjoy reflecting on the joy, creativity, and connection our class of 2026 grew.

“Plant Futures has provided me with a space at UCLA to hone my creativity and passion for sustainable food systems. Over the last three years, I have had the privilege of hosting dozens of events, reaching thousands of individuals and scaling impact beyond what I could have imagined when I first founded the organization. I can confidently say that our chapter has cultivated a unique, inclusive space to address pressing issues within our food systems and emphasize the importance of plant-forward culture shifts in how we think about food. “Relaunching the Plant Futures chapter this year was a very fulfilling responsibility and a great way to wrap up my time at UW. With so many environmental clubs already on campus, we got to be creative about what we wanted this chapter to look like and how we could make it stand out while still keeping the strong sense of community that Plant Futures is known for. We decided to focus on sustainability careers, and being involved behind the scenes gave me the chance to connect with students, professors, and professionals who taught me so much about what's possible in this field.
