Plant Futures at the UN World Food Forum

We’re grateful for the chance to engage at this year’s UN World Food Forum, where our team connected with changemakers from around the world!

We’re feeling inspired by what we learned. Here are three takeaways we’re excited to build on:

  1. Empowering Youth : Young leaders are driving essential change in food systems. We need to amplify their voices, support their grassroots efforts, and fund their research to make lasting impact possible.

  2. Cross-Sector & Cross-Country Collaboration : A shift to sustainable food systems relies on collaboration across sectors and borders. Working together maximizes resources, reduces redundancy, and ensures we can scale impactful solutions faster.

  3. Advocacy for Plant-Centered Systems : Embracing plant-forward diets is crucial. Industrial animal agriculture uses immense resources for feed, limiting space for food crops that could directly nourish people. Moving towards plant-centered systems means making the most of arable land for a food-secure future.

From the conversations we joined, one thing is clear: the future of food needs more youth leaders to drive  these critical shifts!
